Victoria Man sentenced to 99 years in prison
A Victoria man was sentenced to 99 years in prison after being found guilty of aggravated assault on Thursday.
Tomas Caminorreal Jr., 27, was charged with stabbing another Victoria man in the neck on Jan. 22, according to a news release.
Caminorreal, who also has six prior felony convictions, was also assessed a $10,000 fine.
"This is a step forward in making Victoria a safer community," said Assistant Criminal District Attorney Eddie Wilkinson, who represented the state.
Judge Robert Cheshire presided over the case.
