He's the man that made ventriloquism cool again (or perhaps cool for the first time). Comedian Jeff Dunham and his wooden sidekicks have taken the world by storm through their stand-up routines, TV specials and DVDs. And this June, they'll be stopping through Texas.
The Jeff Dunham Identity Crisis Tour 2010 will be in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center on June 26 and in Corpus Christi the following day at American Bank Center Arena.
"Dunham has taken the art of ventriloquism to new heights and has transformed it into a cutting-edge comedy experience that has gained worldwide appeal," according to a Frank Erwin Center news release.
Dunham has also been named the top-grossing live comedy act of 2008, 2009 and the first quarter of 2010, according to concert industry trade Pollstar.
The show will feature all of Dunham's most popular characters, including the cranky Walter, Jose Jalapeno (On A Stick), Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Bubba and the ever-popular Peanut.
Tickets are $40.50 for the Austin show and $49.45 for the Corpus Christi show. All tickets are available at TicketMaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
