Church celebrates 102 years

Mt. Nebo Baptist Church will celebrate its 102nd church anniversary with two services on June 6.
The guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service will be the Rev. Charlie Singleton and the Rev. Dr. Ira E. Antoine Jr. will be the guest speaker for the 3 p.m. service.
Singleton, organizer and senior pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, has led two mission trips overseas and participated in six other mission efforts. He is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in global leadership from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, Wash.
Antoine, pastor of Minnehulla Baptist Church in Goliad, is a native of New Iberia, La. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, a Masters of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Antoine also serves as the African American Congregational Strategist with the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
