Boars for Warriors event introduces injured soldiers to hunting wild hogs

Four severely injured soldiers were recently treated to a Boars for Warriors 2010 weekend as a way area residents to show support for their service to the country.
The group included John Botts, of Tennessee; Sean Hollins, of Illinois; Justin Lynn, of New Mexico; and Jeremy Spoerle, of Texas.
The hunt was Feb. 13 and 14 at the Ray Ranch in Goliad County. This two-day outing for the soldiers was organized in such a way that all was required of the warriors was be present with a willingness to learn about Texas hog hunting.
Several of the warriors were successful with their first harvest of a wild Texas boar.
The organizers also gave the warriors numerous gifts and donations for their return trip to San Antonio.
