June 7, 2010 at 1:07 a.m.
DeLeon Street will be reduced to one lane northbound between Juan Linn and Santa Rosa streets on Tuesday to install water lines.
Construction is expected to take about one week, weather permitting.
All businesses and parking lots in the work zone will remain accessible via alternate routes. The city and contractor are working to reduce public inconvenience; however, drivers may experience delays in this area. Alternate routes are suggested when possible.
This construction is part of the $2,092,079 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements (Phase I, Projects 3 & 4). The contractor performing the work is SER Construction Partners of Pasadena. It is estimated that this project will be completed in about seven months. For more information, contact the Public Works Department at 361-485-3340.
