The word to describe a symbol resembling three petals or floral segments of an iris tied by an encircling band is spelled fleur-de-lis. These designs are found on the ceiling in the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Yorktown. A story on Page E1 on Saturday, June 5, contained a misspelled word.
