Editor, the Advocate:
Dear supporters of The Texas Zoo: Thank you for your positive response to the Zoo's wish list recently published by the Advocate. We were pleasantly surprised to see donations being brought to the Zoo. The donations of towels, buckets and fans arrived just in time for the flood several weeks ago!
We are so thankful for your donations. We are always happy to recycle items reducing our costs and conserving resources. I am equally as thankful to be the director of a zoo in a community that cares as much about us as you do in Victoria.
We update our wish list regularly on our website at www.texaszoo.org . As your gardens begin to produce, please remember we can use fruits and vegetables for the animals: carrots, lettuce, greens, cucumbers, bell peppers, green beans, broccoli, melons, apples, berries, bananas.
Thank you very much for supporting The Texas Zoo!
