Constitution Street to narrow to one lane from DeLeon to Navarro streets

FROM NEWS RELEASEConstitution Street will be reduced to one lane eastbound between Navarro and DeLeon streets on Wednesday to install water lines. Construction is expected to take about two weeks, weather permitting.
All businesses and parking lots in the work zone will remain accessible via alternate routes. The city and contractor are working to reduce public inconvenience, but drivers may experience delays in this area. Alternate routes are suggested when possible.
This construction is part of the $2,092,079.00 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements (Phase I, Projects 3 & 4). This phase is estimated to be complete in seven months.
