Thursday is the official release date for the iPhone 4, the newest Apple smart phone.
Apple fans can buy the phone at a handful of Victoria stores.
The iPhone 4 was announced by Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive officer, at the World Wide Developers Conference earlier this month.
Apple and participating retailers began pre-sale of the phone on June 15. Pre-order sales were brisk, with an estimated 600,000 iPhone 4 units sold within 24 hours, the largest number of pre-orders Apple has taken in a single day, the company reports.
The phone's new features include multi-tasking, folders, videoconferencing via WiFi, upgraded processing power and screen resolution.
The price of the iPhone 4 starts at $199 for AT&T customers eligible for an upgrade. Customers who are not eligible must pay $200 more.
For customers who were unable to pre-order the phone, AT&T announced it will sell the iPhone 4 in its stores and on its website on June 29.
Consumers can also buy the iPhone 4 from Apple's retail stores - in Houston or San Antonio, for example - and online store, although the white version of the phone will not be available until the second half of July.
Participating local stores that will also sell the iPhone 4 include Best Buy, Walmart and Radio Shack. Contact your local store to confirm the phone is in stock.
