If you like animals, and you like wine, the Texas Zoo has an event just for you this Friday.

The zoo will host its third annual "Wild about Wine" fundraiser.

Executive director Andrea Blomberg said the zoo hopes to raise $20,000 from Friday night's event.

The money will fund the zoo's general operating costs, which averages $600,000 annually.

"We need to offset these costs in any way we can," said Blomberg.

Participants can participate in a wine tasting with hors d'oeuvres and be the first to learn all about the zoo's new secretive exhibit.

Blomberg gave this clue about the much-talked about exhibit: "The Texas Zoo has come full circle."

Event-goers will also be able to participate in a silent auction, while being entertained by the music of The Memorial High School Jazz Band.

Tickets may be purchased ahead of time or at the door.
