LAGRANGE - A 12-year-old boy was arrested Monday night following a 14-mile vehicle chase through Fayette County.

At 10 p.m., Fayette County sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a truck with no headlights eastbound on Interstate Highway 10, according to a news.

The truck exited the interstate twice, but returned both times traveling east.

When the driver exited again on Farm-to-Market Road 155, Weimar Police spiked the tires and ended the chase. Speeds reached as fast as 100 miles an hour.

The 12-year-old driver was later identified as a runaway. He was in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a pistol, according to the news release.

He was later transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center in Victoria.
