Name: Joyce Foster

Age: 65

City of residence: Victoria

Current title: Co-owner of Foster Creek Station and Crossroads Movers

First job: I was a secretary for Swanson's Insurance Agency when I was a high school senior.

What it taught me: A hurricane hit Port O'Connor in 1962 and I traveled there with my job. There, I learned the insurance agents were the backbone to the people there. The agents were so kind and caring, and that's something I've kept with me my whole life. I try to pass that on to my customers.
