VISD names new testing coordinator

Dionne Loughman will be the new coordinator of assessment and accountability for Victoria Independent School District beginning in the 2010-11 school year.
She is currently the assistant principal at Shields Magnet School.
Loughman earned a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University and a master of education in administration and supervision from the University of Houston-Victoria.
She began her teaching career in Victoria in 1995 at Rowland Elementary School and also taught in the Austwell-Tivoli School District. She returned to Victoria schools in 2001 as the reading/language arts curriculum facilitator at Smith Magnet School, a position she held until becoming an assistant principal in 2007.
