Jordan Sewalt has been selected as the offensive MVP for District 27-5A, and the Memorial boy's soccer team had more players on the district first team than any other team with five.

Sewalt finished the year with 11 goals and 10 assists.

"It's pretty accurate, the players who are there deserve to be there," said Tim Eaton.

Mauricio Torres was a unanimous selection to the first-team forwards, and is joined by senior Mark Rojas and junior David Barnard on the midfield, senior Will Wickham on defense and senior Ethan Garza as goalkeeper on the first team.

Cole Fimbel, Mike Rueckert and Alex Mansker earned second team honors, while seniors Ernest Serrata and Justin Horne were honorable mentions.

The Vipers finished their final season winning the district title with a 10-1-3 district record and 15-4-4 overall before after the bi-district playoff round to San Antonio Taft 4-2 on Tuesday.
