The Victoria Fire Department responded to the 3400 block of Bobolink Street at 4:30 p.m. Monday to investigate possible chemicals used to make methamphetamines.
The department's hazmat team decontaminated two people and three dogs who were at the home, said Shannon Martin, fire department battalion chief.
O'Connor Elementary School, located across from the home, was not in session and was not in danger at any time, Martin said.
The Victoria Police Department was also investigating.
As of 9 p.m., the type of chemicals found was not available.
