Police warn of child abduction attempts

The Victoria Police Department held a press conference Thursday afternoon at the police substation in the Victoria mall to address the recent child abduction attempts around town.

Officer Chris Guerra could not release many details about the incidents except that they have been happening all over town, and the male suspect has been targeting both male and female pre-teens, mostly in neighborhoods.

Guerra advised parents to keep a closer eye on their children and make sure their children know the difference between "friends and strangers."
