YOAKUM - The men charged with killing 70-year-old Teodoro Cervantes will go on trial in November, more than a year after the man was killed in his Yoakum home and robbed of $90.

On Tuesday, a trial of date of Nov. 15 has been set for Jordan Cole Hessler, Hugo Adrian Ibarra, Jacob Reynosa and Anthony Lewis Rocha.

A juvenile, 16 at the time, is also charged in the Sept. 27 shooting.

Reynosa, in a statement to police, identified Hessler as the shooter.

A pre-trial hearing in the case will be on July 20. The state is expected to file a motion not to seek the death penalty in the case, said Heather Hollub, Lavaca County District Attorney.
