Fellowship opportunity available at Victoria County United Way

The Victoria County United Way is one of four United Ways selected statewide to participate in the United Ways of Texas Robert M. Tinstman Fellowship Program.
The fellowship will provide opportunities for promising college students to participate in internships with Texas United Ways and explore the possibility of a career in the United Way system, according to a news release from the Victoria County United Way.
Fellowship applicants must have more than 45 college credit hours and a minimum of 3.0 GPA overall. Undergraduate and graduate students of an accredited college or university are eligible to apply. The United Way system is comprised of professionals of diverse backgrounds, therefore students of any major course of study will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong history of volunteer work or involvement with nonprofit organizations.
Successful candidates will receive an opportunity to gain professional experience in the nonprofit sector and a monthly stipend, to total $1,500 for the fall, according to the news release.
Deadline to apply is June 15.
