A county-outlined picture of the Crossroads region pops up on the corner of the television set.
"Hurricane Watch," it reads.
It sounds dangerous. What now?
Before making that last-minute mad dash for all your essentials (which you should have already), it's important to understand and learn the definitions of frequently used hurricane season terms.
"I think it's very important to note that particular nomenclature," said Scott Cordero, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi.
