The Lighted Christmas Parade is just around the corner. Don't wait until the last minute to turn in your application.
The parade will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 in front of the Community Center, 2905 E. North St.
This year's parade will feature a fantastic show of lights, bands and lots of glitter.
The sounds of Christmas music will fill the air with all the school bands entered in the parade. We might even have a battle of the bands. Victoria West High School and Victoria East High School will battle for the best band against the four middle schools: Stroman, Cade, Howell and Patti Welder.
The Victoria College Treasures Dance Team and Crossroads Pet Rescues are two new entries in this year's parade.
We have several entries that have been with the Christmas parade for several years - Victoria Model A Ford Club, Floresville Peanut Festival and Chuck E. Cheese.
We have 44 entries in the parade. There will be a maximum of 120 entries. At this time last year we only had 30 entries.
The deadline for entry into the parade is 5 p.m. Nov. 22. Again, please don't wait until the last minute, because there may not be a spot available.
Food vendor opportunities are available all along the parade route. If you are interested, please let us know. Vendor spots are available for $50 each. Call for availability.
