Amie Plunkett and Cynthia Rivas Lerma, registered nurses, passed their bariatric exam and are now certified bariatric nurses at Citizens Bariatric Center. In order to sit for the exam, registered nurses must have worked in the bariatric field for a minimum of two years.
Doug Goad is the area manager for Heritage Funeral Homes of Memory Gardens. Goad has more than 15 years experience in the funeral care industry. He is a licensed funeral director in three states including Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Elise Hairell is now funeral director and office manager for Heritage Funeral Home.
Bianca Horton is employee of the third quarter 2010 at Warm Springs Specialty Hospital.
Ben Zeller has joined TDECU in the dealer direct lending department. Zeller will be responsible for analyzing loan requests received through the credit unions Dealer Direct program. He graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria in 2005 with a bachelor of business administration and in 2009 from Texas A&M University in San Antonio with a masters of business administration.
Elsa Davila has joined TDECU in the mortgage department. Davila, who has almost 10 years of mortgage lending experience, is responsible for counseling and qualifying members for mortgage loans. She has worked as a loan officer at CTX Mortgage, GMAC and Bank of America Home Loans.
Karen Barber, registered nurse, chief executive officer of Yoakum Community Hospital, has been awarded the Texas Hospital Association's Pioneer Award. This is an annual award that recognizes excellence in rural hospital management. Barber received the award at a luncheon during the Texas Rural Health Forum on Thursday in Austin.
