The 20th annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing will feature not only food, but also fun, fellowship and a variety of entertainment.
The feast will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at the Victoria Community Center.
"This is our 20th year and we invite everyone to come out and take part, either as a volunteer or to enjoy the meal and entertainment," said Gus Kroos, H-E-B store No. 2 unit director and event co-chair.
More than 5,000 meals are expected to be served by hundreds of volunteers.
"Volunteers are vital to us every year," said Kroos, who has been involved in every Feast of Sharing since it began. "To volunteer call 211. They will compile the list and get it to us. We will then make the assignments."
Kroos said if a volunteer needs to work a specific time or prefers a specific work station, let the operators at 211 know when calling in.
In addition to the meal, the event includes a Winter Wonderland with activities and crafts for children and an extensive lineup of entertainment.
Opening ceremonies begin at 3 p.m., followed by the Victoria school district Air Force Junior ROTC drill team, the Victoria College jazz combo, Ballet Folklorico, the Victoria school district mariachi band and Crossroads County cloggers.
Singer Casey Leeann Walthall will wrap up the day's entertainment.
"Red" Santa will be on hand between 3 and 5 p.m. and "Blue" Santa from 5 to 7 p.m.
Doug Wallace, general manager at H-E-B Plus! is the event co-chair.
