Faith Academy earns sweep overSugar Land Logos Prep in three games

Ashely Tyau had 11 kills and six digs and Maegan Wilkinson had 10 service points and three blocks as Faith Academy took the match 25-17, 25-9 and 25-16 over Sugar Land Logos Prep in district play on Monday.

Lady Cougars coach Suzanne Valenzuela was pleased with the teams effort Monday night.

"They stayed consistent and playing a team that maybe wasn't to our level they continued to play aggressively," said Valenzulea.

Since dropping a road game to Shiner St. Paul, the Lady Cougars have won three district games in a row and run their TAPPS District 8-2A record to 10-1.

Shea Gonzalez and Haley Thomas also had good games as Gonzalez chipped in 10 service points with two aces and Thomas had seven service points and three kills of her own.

Faith Academy goes for four in a row when it takes on Brazosport Christian in Lake Jackson on Tuesday.

The Lady Cougars home game against Highlands Chinquapin that was originally scheduled for Thursday has been moved to Friday.
