Choral groups hosting free concert Monday

Where: Victoria College Fine Arts Auditorium.
The Victoria College Choir and Victoria Civic Chorus will give a free fall choral concert on Monday in the Victoria College Fine Arts Auditorium.
The concert will feature the Victoria College Choir singing a program that includes "Bell Mass" by Rupert Lang, "The Word Was God" by Rosephanye Powell and "Sing Unto God" from "Judas Maccabaeus" by George Handel.
The Victoria College Choraliers will sing a program of "Warum" By Johannes Brahms and "Due West" by Stephen Chatman.
The Victoria Civic Chorus will sing excerpts from the Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, H.M.S. Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, and Gondoliers. They will perform the same program in Corpus Christi at the Texas A&M University Performing Arts Center on Oct. 16. The Corpus Christi concert, titled, "Sing Out South Texas!" involves six other choral organizations, Beeville Community Chorus, Corpus Christi Chorale, Kingsville Community Chorus, Del Mar Master Chorus, Kingdom of Christ Community Singers and Friends, and the Sparkling City Chapter of the Sweet Adelines.
