No one injured in two- vehicle wreck; one driver arrested on suspicion of DWI

No one was injured in a two -vehicle wreck Friday night at the intersection of Navarro Street and Crestwood Drive.

Around midnight, a white Dodge Durango was travelling north in the 3600 block of Navarro Street when it slammed into a green Jeep Cherokee.

The Cherokee's driver, 30-year-old Victoria resident Tamera Cardenas, failed to yield right of way at the flashing red lights on Crestwood.

The driver of the Durango, 18-year-old Victoria resident Nicholas Almarez, had the right of way in the intersection.

Cardenas was arrested and charged for driving while intoxicated, Officer Christine Moore said.

Cardenas and the two passengers in her car and Almarez and the four passengers in his car were wearing their seatbelts.
