Career and Technology Institute welcomes new principal

David Lynn is the new principal of the Career and Technology Institute.
Lynn came to Victoria in 2006 as an assistant principal at Howell Middle School. He was previously employed by the West Oso school district as the coordinator of special education/career and technology education and Section 504. He also had experience as an assistant principal and special education teacher in West Oso.
Lynn earned his Master of Science Degrees in educational administration and occupational training and development from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in secondary education and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Corpus Christi State University.
The Career and Technology Institute, formerly known as the Career Development School, provides basic and advanced instruction in career and technology programs ranging from electrical trades to health occupations, culinary skills to computer networking and cosmetology to welding. The majority of the training programs lead to professional certification opportunities or the opportunity to earn college credits.
