Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice

Thumbs-up to the Victoria Advocate.
Thank you for all the comments you print in the speak out section.
I must admit I was on the fence about this year's governor's race.
After reading all the nasty comments about Gov. Perry, I now know he must be doing a great job, and I will gladly vote for his re-election come November. Thanks readers.
Thumbs-up to the lady named Irene who found my money clip in the H-E-B parking lot.
Irene turned the money clip and the attached money into H-E-B's lost and found.
Irene did the right thing. However, she made me do some self evaluation, "What would I have done if I had found a clip with money?" What would most people have done? I hope I, and most of us, would do the right thing and be as honest as Irene." Thank you Irene.
Thumbs-up to the much needed rain, but down to all the huge, blood-sucking mosquitoes.
Thumbs-down to those purchasing general admission tickets to our high school football games and then sitting in reserved seating.
Thumbs-down to all the political signs up all over Victoria.
I can't count all the letters and speak out comments from people upset about the plastic bags and trash along the streets and curbs.
I have yet to see one letter about the political trash along those same streets.
One good thing the signs cover up the trash.
