The city of Victoria fired two firefighters for placing sexually suggestive photographs in the workplace, officials said Wednesday.

The city conducted an internal investigation during which both firefighters admitted the misconduct, according to a news release from the city.

The city has rules and regulations regarding employee behavior to maintain efficient business operations and for the benefit and safety of all employees. Conduct that interferes with operations, discredits the city or is offensive to customers or fellow employees will not be tolerated, according to the news release.

The city did not release the names of the people involved, which follows the city's guidelines to protect all parties involved in internal investigations, according to the news release.

The Advocate has filed a public information request for the report of the incident.

All the employees involved are men.
