How do I know if my child has Autism?

The most common warning sign is that the child mostly does something you begin to notice close to a year of age. They are not paying attention when you're talking to them. Normally, when the mom or dad talk to the child, the child will pay attention to what is being said. That's how they learn from you, by paying attention to their face. Around a year, if they are unable to point, that should really ring a bell. Autistic children - many of them - are very intelligent. The problem is they are not able to relate to the rest of us. These don't necessarily mean that they have autism. It's not a very easy diagnosis.
