Devereux is hosting Art & Antiques in the Garden on April 16-17, at the Devereux Growing Center, 120 David Wade Drive.

Stroll through the oaks and purchase one-of-a-kind artwork, jewelry, pottery, paintings, wood workings and more from the many artists who will be on display.

Walk through the greenhouses and find all kinds of different and unusual plants for your landscape.

Barbecue will be available and door prizes drawn every hour. Participate in the silent auction or try for one of the mystery boxes.

The arts and antiques will be on display for purchase from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday with no entry fee to the grounds.

These events benefit the residential treatment facility that specializes in the care of children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, developmental, psychiatric or substance use disorders.


The Spring Treasure Sale continues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Yoakum Heritage Museum, 312 Simpson St. Unique items for sale, from antiques to zippers, donated by the community. The fundraiser is for building repairs and renovations. 361-293-7022.


April 9, 16, 27 - Advance wristband distribution for Victoria County Relay for Life. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 9 and 16, Victoria Mall; 3 to 5 p.m., April 27, American Cancer Society Office, 4401 Lilac Lane.
