Victoria College's Continuing Education & Workforce Training Department will conduct a special seminar on May 16 to help bring transportation company personnel in compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's improved safety enforcement program.

The program, Compliance, Safety, Accountability, began late last year with the launch of the new CSA Safety Measurement System.

The CSA seminar is designed to help local industry ensure that its fleet is prepared for these significant changes and to protect safety ratings and will provide detailed information regarding the new regulatory requirements and implementation of new procedures.

Transportation company dispatchers, human resources personnel, administrative staff, senior management and non-drivers who need a better understanding of new regulatory requirements will benefit from the seminar.

Martin Garsee, the transportation program director at Houston Community College, will present the seminar. Garsee serves as vice president to the National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools and has more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry.
