Wimberley takes to air to defeat Cuero

WIMBERLEY - Wimberley quarterback Brady Lambert led an air attack against Cuero, throwing for four touchdowns in a 34-6 win against the Gobblers.

Lambert threw for touchdowns of 5, 8, 30 and 47 yards. He finished the night hitting 10 of his 20 passes for 268 yards with no interceptions. At point, Lambert threw for 156 yards in four plays, one of which was a 71-yard pass.

Cuero out rushed the Texans, covering 159 yards on the ground. AJ Bustos led the Gobblers with 63 yards on 15 carries. However, Cuero's lone score came on a 48-yard punt return in the fourth quarter.
