Meth bust in Fayette County

An investigation led to the arrest of two men for manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine in Flatonia on Tuesday.
David Barta, 55, and John Scherbeh, 33, of Flatonia, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and the chemicals necessary to manufacture methamphetamine following an investigation by Fayette County Narcotics Task Force of a house in the 2300 block of Farm-to-Market Road 609 just north of Flatonia, said Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek.
