AARP Chapter 829-Victoria hosted its annual Holiday Party on Nov. 29, at the Victoria County Senior Citizens Center on Murray Street. The area was decorated in Christmas motif for the occasion.
Dr. Efren Diaz DeLeon, president, welcomed 40 members and guest Chaplain Natalie Gilbert led the Invocation.
Pam Carver, incoming co-treasurer, conducted the bingo games, and Betty Lott, vice president, distributed the wrapped prizes brought by members.
Adriana Valdivia, Aurora Zepeda and James Spear served refreshments.
DeLeon reminded the group that Treasurer Lois Smith is now taking $5 dues for 2012 and urges everyone to get them in to her no later than the January meeting.
AARP membership is open to anyone age 50 and over. The local group meets the last Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m.
