Three injured in wreck near Cuero

Three people were taken to hospitals in Victoria after a wreck in DeWitt County at 10:23 a.m. Friday.
A pickup pulled onto state Highway 72 and struck an tractor-trailer traveling on U.S. Highway 87, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Gerald Bryant.
The tractor-trailer, which was transporting crude mud, caught fire after the collision.
The Cuero Fire Department extinguished the blaze.
The names of the injured were not available late Friday.
The wreck was investigated by DPS Trooper Matt Southall, of Hallettsville.
