GOLIAD - How a fire began on Thursday evening that destroyed a trailer and left a family homeless remains undetermined, Fire Chief Alonzo Morales said Saturday.
Flames destroyed the home of Olga Guerra, 39, and her six children, ages 4 to 14, and her boyfriend Donald Riggs in the 200 block of West Henning Road.
No one was reported injured.
Morales said the home is destroyed and that the origin of the fire cannot be determined.
Linda May, emergency services specialist, said the American Red Cross Crossroads Chapter, will be accepting donations for the family.
Morales said 25 firefighters from several area agencies responded to the blaze, which was reported at 8:26 p.m., and remained on the scene for 3 1/2 hours.
