Nicholas Leita, 22, a Victoria man injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday, is in stable condition at Citizens Medical Center.

Leita's black Ford Escort was struck by a Woodlands Express charter bus about 8:53 p.m., transporting 50 passengers to Houston.

The bus, driven by Marie Louise Hill of Gulf Coast Transportation in Houston, was traveling on U.S. 59 N when Leita failed to yield while crossing the highway. Leita was pulling out from a service street near MW Rentals & Services Inc.

Victoria Police Department Senior Patrol Officer Herschel Buck said Leita was cited with failure to yield the right of way.
