Nothing in Christmas presents for bad teen

Coal in his stocking would have been an improvement for the 17-year-old Victoria resident who was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle Monday night.
Police responded to a call from a resident in the 100 block of Portsmouth Circle, who reported two men opening gifts outside his back fence and tossing the paper into his yard.
The resident confronted the men, and one of them took off running, but he was able to detain 17-year-old Damien Carmona of Victoria.
The gift boxes were later identified as being stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of New Haven, but none of the gift-wrapped boxes had any presents in them.
The officers made contact with the man who ran away, and he admitted that he and Carmona had been involved in burglarizing the vehicle. No record of arrest of the second man was reported.
While Carmona was being booked, marijuana was found on his person, so he faces a second charge of felony possession of a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
