"It's a Wonderful Life" comes to life on the stage at the Gonzales Crystal Theatre at 2 p.m. Saturday.
For a single matinee performance, the Gonzales Crystal is hosting the Lockhart Gaslight Baker Theatre's production of this perennial holiday favorite.
The Crystal Theatre is at 511 St. Lawrence St. in Gonzales.
"It's a Wonderful Life" is a 1946 Hollywood Christmas drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra and based on the short story, "The Greatest Gift," written by Philip Van Doren Stern.
The film stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and the contributions he has made to his community.
The stage production in Gonzales will star Lockhart's Todd Martin as George and Sondra Schable as his wife, Mary.
Adult tickets are $18. A special Young Program ticket for children under 12 is $5 to encourage families to be part of this holiday tradition.
Tickets are available through the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce at 830-672-6532.
