Courtyard Gallery offers live concert, silent auction
Dec. 28, 2011 at 6:28 a.m.
Joe Koenig will perform live at 7 p.m. Friday at the Courtyard Gallery in Cuero.
"If you have never heard Joe, you are in for a treat. Great voice, lyrics and music - he does it all," said Kerry Rhotenberry, gallery owner.
Refreshments will be served.
Friday also marks the end of the Catholic church silent auction. Bids close at 9 p.m.
Twenty-nine pieces of art from the private collection of the late Anthony ("Tony," "A.J.") Engbrock were donated to St. Michael's Catholic Church after his death.
The pieces are being sold using a silent auction bid format. The starting point for each piece will be 25 percent of the price Engbrock originally paid. All pieces have well-documented provenance.
If a piece does not receive a bid at the starting point, sealed "best offer" bids will be considered.
Anyone interested in bidding, but unable to come in person, can call or email the gallery for photos and descriptions and to register a bid.
This exhibit features both originals and a variety of reproduction processes.
Artists include Edgar Chahine and Salvador Dali.
