One child was injured in a wreck on Farm-to-Market 236 in front of Four Corners Bar, about 3:15 p.m. Friday.
Three trucks were headed north on Farm-to-Market Road 236 when the front truck, a Dodge Ram, blew out its front right tire, said Department of Public Safety Trooper Jay Schultz.
The truck behind the Dodge, a Ford F-250 driven by a 16-year-old Victoria boy, swerved into the southbound lane to avoid debris, Schultz said.
When the Ford returned to the northbound lane, its right side struck a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado, Rosa Alvarado, 30, of Victoria, was found at fault in the crash, the trooper said.
Schultz issued her a citation for failure to control speed.
Three children, ages 8, 9 and 10, were in Alvarado's truck. The 8-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to Citizens Medical Center where he was treated and released, Schultz said. Schultz said the passengers were most likely wearing seatbelts.
