While many area schools shut doors early, a few campuses kept classes in session all day Thursday.
The Cuero school district was one of them.
"It wasn't that bad here," said Superintendent Henry Lind. "It was just cold, and it's warmer in the schools than in a lot of the homes."
But with Friday's forecast, the district, along with many others, will cancel classes.
"We'll just hunker down and see how bad the roads ice," Lind said.
The following school districts, campuses and offices will be closed Friday:
St. Joseph High School
Our Lady of Victory
Wharton County Junior College
