AUSTIN (AP) - Gov. Rick Perry has appointed three new members to the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, including Victoria convenience store operator Cliff Thomas.
If the Texas Senate confirms their appointments, Thomas, Texarkana businesswoman Judy Morgan and San Antonio entrepreneur Elaine Mendoza would serve until Feb. 1, 2017.
They succeed former A&M and Alabama football coach Gene Stallings, Houston office products retailer Lupe Fraga and San Antonio socialite Ida Clement Steen on the board.
