A man was arrested after a wreck at the intersection of John Stockbauer Drive and Zac Lentz Parkway shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The man was driving a Ford Ranger northbound on John Stockbauer Drive at a high rate of speed, apparently attempting to beat a red light, said Victoria Police Department Officer Kelly Luther.

A GMC Sierra traveling eastbound on Zac Lentz Parkway struck the driver's side door of the Ranger, Luther said.

The driver of the Ranger was arrested by another officer and transported to the Victoria County Jail. Luther did not know the details of that arrest.

No one was injured in the collision.

Further information was not available Tuesday night.
