Some Victoria cable customers will require digital adapters as Suddenlink moves to an all-digital TV lineup.
The all-digital upgrade, expected to be complete by June, is the next step in a three-year company-wide program that includes about $350 million in capital investments, according to a Suddenlink news release.
The adapters, or "DigitaLinks," make it possible to view digital channels and are provided free of charge for all customer TV sets that require them.
Customers who subscribe solely to Suddenlink's limited basic package, which include channels 2 through 22, will not require digital adapters, according to the news release. Those who subscribe to more than limited cable, however, generally require the devices if they are not connected to a digital cable box, do not have a Suddenlink CableCARD installed or are not connected to a digital cable-ready device, such as TiVo.
