The Victoria City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance authorizing the funds to move forward with testing and inspection of sanitary sewer lines in the Mayfair Terrace subdivision.
During Tuesday's meeting, Andrew Jacob, assistant finance director, is expected to recommend the ordinance that would transfer $135,000 from the water/wastewater fund balance to that department's engineering fund to pay for the testing.
If approved on first reading, the ordinance would come before the council again at its next meeting for final approval.
The Mayfair Terrace area flooded in May and again in August, and residents appeared before the council earlier this month to voice their displeasure.
City Councilman Gabriel Soliz led a town hall meeting in the neighborhood in January to also hear the residents' concerns.
Among other items, the council also will consider the first reading of an ordinance repealing bicycle registration.
