Moulton livestock show Sunday, Monday

The annual Moulton Junior Livestock Show will be Sunday and Monday at the show barn on the Moulton High School campus.

The numbers of entries are down slightly this year with about seven fewer animals being shown.

Hogs again lead the way with 34 entries. Students will show 16 lambs, four steers and 12 pens of chickens, said Jamina Vasbinder, Moulton Junior Livestock Show secretary.

Weigh-in begins at 1 p.m. Sunday. Broiler judging begins at 6 p.m. followed by lambs about 7 p.m.

The show continues at 9 a.m. Monday with the market hogs followed by the market steers.

A buyer's social will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Moulton American Legion Hall.

The premium sale will be held at the show barn beginning at 8 p.m. Monday.
