A Ford work truck sits in the median of U.S. Highway 59 after it struck a stalled Buick while trying to pass an 18-wheeler on Thursday afternoon. The driver of the Buick was taken to Citizen's Medical Center.

One man was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 59 North about 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

A Buick Sedan driven by Donald Williams Jr., 25, of Victoria, was stalled in the left southbound lane just north of the Victoria exit, said Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Wayne Cipriani.

A Ford truck driven by Jerry Johnson, 49, of Victoria, attempted to pass an 18-wheeler and struck the Buick, forcing both vehicles into the median.

Williams was taken to Citizens Medical Center, where he was treated and released, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Cipriani said Williams was found to have a felony warrant and would be arrested after being medically cleared.

No citations were issued.
