Brenton Ray Penrod was inducted into the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Victoria College on Nov. 11. Penrod is majoring in nursing. He is the son of Edthye Jean Beach-Lenford Penrod, of Mesa, Ariz., and is married to Annmarie Penrod, of Victoria.
Penrod was a high school dropout that received his GED while in the Air Force in 1973. He was very surprised to learn that he had been nominated to the Zeta Gamma chapter of PTK at VC. Penrod is 54 and prior to attending VC, had not been in school for 37 years.
