Crime Stoppers has approved a pay out for a phone tip, which lead to the arrest of two people, said Victoria Police Det. John Luna, the coordinator for Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers received several tips concerning the vandalism by taggers at East High School on Feb. 24.

One phone tip led to the arrest of a suspect who in turn pointed a finger at another person, Luna said.

Alexis Marie Tapia, 17, of Victoria, was arrested on April 26. Andrew Stewart Foster, 18, of Victoria, was arrested on May 3, according to police reports.

Charges of felony criminal mischief were filed against both people. The district attorney's office has accepted the charges, Luna said.

The investigation is led by Victoria Police Department Senior Patrol Officer John White.
